Full Synopsis (Warning, Spoilers)

In his small London flat, Howard is lonely. In between mindlessly killing time, he is overcome by dark, surreal visions of an ominous Featureless Man. Out of frustration, he sends an open invitation to all the contacts in his phone, inviting them to dinner. Time passes before he finally receives a response from the beautiful Rose. Ecstatic, Howard eagerly begins his preparations.
Finally, the time arrives. Rose is at the door, but she is accompanied by a dashing man, Patrick, who looks contemptuously upon Howard and his flat. Howard’s hallucinations return in force, now characterised by a searing jealously, as – in the dark depths of his mind – he is forced to watch the Featureless Man being caressed by Rose.
Back with his guests, as Howard makes polite conversation with Rose, Patrick constantly undermines him and makes no attempt to hide his disdain for his host. When Patrick picks up a guitar and plays an impressive solo, Howard, not wanting to be outdone, sits at the piano, and two men engage in a musical battle which is only brought to an end by the sight of smoke emerging from the kitchen.
Howard rushes into the kitchen to try to salvage what he can of the burnt food but the stress of it all is too much and he has a surreal meltdown. The Featureless Man is in his home. He has power over Rose, and she is clearly besotted with him. Howard sweats and shakes whilst holding a gun to his own head. Patrick appears as a corpse in Howard’s bed.
Rose enters the kitchen to help out. Howard watches her in awe before moving in to kiss her but he’s interrupted by Patrick who sticks his head in to mock Howard’s cooking. Howard ushers his two guests out of the kitchen, telling them that he can take care of the rest himself. At that moment, he has an epiphany and spikes Patrick’s dinner with rat poison so that he can be alone with Rose.
At the table, as the dinner is underway, Howard keeps an eye on Patrick as he eats. Suddenly Rose’s head drops onto her plate. Patrick leaps into action – he lays her down on the sofa and rushes into the kitchen to fetch some water where he discovers an open packet of rat poison. He confronts Howard, who plays ignorant, and then calls the police. As the phone rings, something comes over Howard. He appears behind Patrick in a wolf mask and strikes him over the head with an ornament.
Later, Rose is in a daze on the sofa and asks for Patrick. Howard tells her that she’s had too much wine and Patrick has left her to go meet friends at the pub. Rose senses that something is amiss and staggers out of the room. In the hallway, Howard blocks her path and begs her to stay, saying that he can look after her. Rose barges past him and he falls through a bedroom door and onto the body of Patrick. Rose sees the body and screams Patrick’s name. Howard scrambles to his feet and approaches Rose, claiming it was all an accident. Rose retreats and locks herself in the bathroom, frantically searching for her phone as Howard hammers on the bathroom door, screaming at Rose to let him in.
Rose is now wearing a large rabbit mask and a summer dress. Howard is topless, wearing a wolf mask, and he barges the bathroom door open. Rose falls to the floor, dropping her phone. Howard the Wolf approaches. Rose manages to reach the phone but it’s smashed. She turns to see Howard the Wolf closing in. He reaches out and consumes the helpless Rose.
Howard is sat on his living room sofa with an unconscious Rose by his side. He begins to laugh hysterically at the TV. The Featureless Man is topless in the armchair and also unconscious. As the camera returns to Howard he is sat looking miserable with the corpse of Rose beside him.
